Sweetest Day

October 2011 -  Sweetest Day is all about your loved one. Your sweetie has been there for you through the good times and the bad times. They have been there to celebrate with you, comfort you, and cheer you up when you feel down. The holiday was created to pamper them and express your feelings!

Sweetest Day originated in 1921, promoted by Cleveland Confectioners. A committee of twelve individuals were responsible for distributing over 20,000 boxes of sweets, chocolates, and candy to the elderly and loved ones. 

Ever since, the holiday has evolved into a more elaborate one with customary gifts such as candy, flowers and jewelry. Pink and white flowers are commonly sent to loved ones on Sweetest Day.
